Quality always the same
Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires generics have the same high quality, strength, purity and stability as well the way it works as brand-name drugs. The big difference is that generics usually cost less than brand-name drugs. There are a few other differences—like color, shape, size, or taste -but they do not affect the quality of the drug.
Trademark law in the United States of America does not permit the generic drugs to look exactly the same the brand-name medications, but the active ingredients must be the same in both preparations, ensuring that both have the same medicinal effects. Continue reading »
